**Europe's NGT framework is taking shape. What does that mean for competition in the seed industry?**

With the regulatory direction becoming clearer, attention is shifting from the policy debate to what seed companies are actually doing to prepare. Although 2028 may sound distant, breeding and development cycles are long, so competitive positioning is already under way.

In this webinar, we'll take an outside-in look at how leading seed companies are preparing for the NGT era, combining competitor developments with R\&D, financial and innovation signals to understand where capabilities are being built and where future competitive pressure could emerge.

What we’ll cover:

* How seed companies are building NGT readiness through internal capability, partnerships, licensing and investment
* What competitor moves, patents and innovation activity can tell us about where companies are placing their bets
* How R\&D intensity, financial capacity and breeding infrastructure may shape companies’ ability to move from technology to commercialisation
* Where NGTs could create opportunities across crops and traits, and why technical readiness alone may not determine adoption
* The signals worth monitoring between now and 2028 to understand how the competitive landscape is evolving

In this 45-minute session, Maria Lawrence will show how leading seed companies are positioning for competition in Europe's NGT era.
