Let's All Talk Mental Health

As a new school year begins, many parents find themselves navigating a subtle but important shift, more independence, changing dynamics, and new expectations between them and their teenager. This session offers a chance to pause and take a more reflective approach to parenting during this time of transition.

We'll discuss how to stay calm and connected when things feel like they’re shifting, how to reduce some of the “heat” that can build at home, and how to approach boundaries in a way that feels both clear and collaborative. With increasing focus on phone use and upcoming changes for under-16s, we’ll also look at how to introduce or reset expectations around tech without it becoming a constant source of conflict.

Rather than reacting in the moment, this session will help parents step back, understand what might be driving their teenager’s behaviour, and respond in a way that supports both independence and connection. The aim is not to get everything “right”, but to feel more confident, steady and thoughtful in how you approach this next stage.
