Let’s all Talk Mental Health for Educators is an online hub for individuals working within a Secondary School or College with a library of CPD accredited recordings on topics currently being supported within educational settings. It runs alongside our Let's all Talk Mental health hub for parents, caregivers and family members to support their teens through mental health struggles, to understand the issues and to find out more about routes for help.

LATMH for Educators

This session is for schools and educational settings and offers guidance on Emotional Based School Avoidance (EBSA) and its close connection with teen mental health and overall well-being. It provides insights into supporting young individuals who are challenged with EBSA, drawing from evidence-based practices associated with positive outcomes.

In the session, you can expect to understand how EBSA develops and progresses in teens; what the likely teen mental health outcomes might be if EBSA isn't addressed; what schools can do to support parents that are willing to engage through EBSA with a teen who is school avoidant; ideas on how schools can work with and support families who maybe enabling EBSA in their teen and how schools can support a teenager whose education has been disrupted due to EBSA.
