Miss Shirin Khanjani is the Co-Founder and Medical Director of Fitzrovia Fertility and a Consultant Gynaecologist at UCLH. An accredited subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery, she also holds the position of Honorary Associate Professor at UCL. With a PhD from Imperial College London and a background as an NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer, Miss Khanjani is a leading voice in IVF research. Her work is recognised globally, focusing on improving success rates for patients facing low ovarian reserve and recurrent implantation failure. Whether providing complex surgical interventions or outpatient care, she is highly regarded for her evidence-based, compassionate, and holistic approach to women’s health.

Dimitrios  Mavrelos

Mr Dimitrios Mavrelos is the Co-Founder and Medical Director of Fitzrovia Fertility and a Consultant in Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and Reproductive Medicine at University College London Hospital (UCLH). He studied medicine at the University of Oxford and Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical School before completing his specialty and subspecialty training in London, alongside a higher degree in gynaecological ultrasound.

As the lead clinician for ultrasound in the Reproductive Medicine Unit and the head of the Recurrent Miscarriage Clinic at UCLH, Mr Mavrelos brings a wealth of technical expertise to his practice. His clinical work focuses on supporting couples trying to conceive, with particular expertise in managing early pregnancy complications, endometriosis, and various fertility-impacting gynaecological conditions. A widely published researcher in the field, he provides both advanced surgical and outpatient care, ensuring every treatment plan is meticulously tailored to the individual needs of his patients.
