Marek Magdoško
Gas Origination
Marek Magdoško has been with SPP since 2008, bringing over 15 years of experience in energy markets and contract management. In the early stages of his career at SPP, he specialized as a Contract Management Specialist, overseeing a broad portfolio of agreements spanning entry into new energy markets, transmission contracts, commodity framework contracts, and key market infrastructure, including stock exchange platforms, brokerage systems, EFET framework contracts, and LNG contracts.
Today, Marek focuses on two strategic growth areas: the procurement of guarantees of origin for electricity and the development of biomethane as an emerging commodity, reflecting SPP's commitment to the energy transition and sustainable fuel sources.
Petr Kalina
MD – Origination
Petr Kalina is enthusiastic and passionate builder of businesses, portfolios and long term relationships with customers. Petr started his career in equity markets in 1994 – working 13 years in asset management and private equity. In 2008 Petr changed his main field to energy markets and worked as a Trader, Portfolio Manager and Originator – most recently for RWE Supply & Trading from 2016, where Petr finished his “Gasman education”. In June 2017 Petr´s biomethane journey started and he found himself to be keen to develop this (then) niche biomethane market for RWE. In May 2023 Petr left big corporate world, bought in and from June 1st, 2023 operates REE company.
