Chris Jones began his career in the Royal Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller before joining Transport for London in 2017, where he held operational roles in Service Control and Train Operations. In 2020 he joined TfL's Safety, Health and Environment Directorate and developed the pan-TfL Fatigue Risk Management System, along with the training and guidance behind it. He now provides SHE advice and assurance to TfL's Technology and Revenue teams.

Marcus de Guingand is the managing director of Third Pillar of Health, home of fatigue-risk.com and a set of tools that make fatigue risk visible and measurable. He has more than 20 years of experience in fatigue risk, alertness and sleep health. He recently ran two multi-industry studies gathering over 137,000 data points from 795 workers, which now underpin Fatigue Risk Ratings, a fatigue risk score for organisations and divisions.

Dr Zaheer Akhter is a doctor with experience in high-acuity environments including Emergency Medicine and Acute Internal Medicine. Alongside his NHS role, he delivers driver medical assessments across the UK as a medical assessor with D4 Drivers, and is completing postgraduate training in Occupational Medicine. His specialist interests are driver fitness and workplace wellbeing, with a focus on improving road safety and supporting healthier, safer workforces.

Barrie Wilson brings 20 years of expertise in transport and operator licence compliance, HGV operations, and fleet management. A chartered member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport, the Association of Fleet Professionals, and the Association of Road Risk Managers, Barrie has held key roles at Logistics UK – where he contributed to the success of the Van Excellence scheme – and as a Transport and Compliance Manager for a national haulage company.
