Sheen and his enduring influence on Church leadership. Bishop Tylka—who played a key role in Sheen’s path toward beatification—will share insights on Sheen’s leadership in the Church, his pioneering use of media to evangelize, and how his example speaks to today’s pastoral and communication realities.
Denise Ehlen will guide the conversation, drawing on her experience working with dioceses and parishes across the country to explore how Sheen’s legacy continues to inform leadership, communication, and mission in the Church today.

The Most Reverend Louis Tylka
Bishop of Peoria
Bishop Louis Tylka has served as Bishop of Peoria since 2022, following his appointment as coadjutor bishop in 2020. A native of the Chicago area, he was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Chicago in 1996 and served in parish ministry for 24 years before coming to Peoria.
As Bishop of Peoria, Bishop Tylka has played a significant role in advancing the Cause of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen. At Sheen's beatification, he will read the papal bull in English formally declaring Archbishop Sheen "Blessed." Bishop Tylka brings a unique perspective on Sheen's legacy, leadership, and enduring impact on the Church today.
Denise Ehlen
ACST Catholic Senior Manager of Diocesan/Parish Partnerships
God called Denise to a leadership role at ACST Catholic after a 15-year tenure at the Catholic Leadership Institute, where she supported thousands of bishops, priests, and lay leaders in their self-leadership, leading others, and pastoral planning, all in support of building the Kingdom of God. In her current role, Denise continues to support Catholic Church leaders through their use of technology. She is a sought-out national conference speaker and author of the monthly self-led reflection, “Leadership Pulse Check: 3 Steps for Catholic Leadership Success.” Denise is one of the faithful in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee living in Burlington, WI with her husband Ted. Supporting Catholic leaders is her passion.
